The Stinging Fly Summer Issue

So, I have work in this beauty! "We Can't Have Artists Losing Their Tempers" is a short story featuring Brigid, a 93 year old Irish artist living in Paris.

I'm especially fond of her, and excited to have her out in the world,  as she's the lead character (as a younger woman) of my novel The Writer's House. It took a few years  and tears, to weave the Irish famine, ancient bog bodies and victorian séances together, but it's finally complete, and ready for submission.

The Stinging Fly is a legendary publication, so it was a thrill to have this story selected, thank you Lisa Mc Inerny! Do submit, if you have poems or stories ready for the world to read, their window is open and they're actively looking for new writers.

This edition is available from the Stinging Fly website and in good bookshops :)
