The book that it, not the city. I've won 24 Hours:Paris by Marsha Moore. A big thanks to me and my big mouth (the blog, not me and mine!)The challange was to write something in french, and I leapt over the hurdle of being uni-lingual to compose my first french poem. This one's for Marianne Faithful. (She'll be sooooo honored!)Pour Marianne
À l'âge de 37,

So I let the phone ring keep.
as I sat y twittering gently
to all my friends at home.
Standing on the ovens

Not excactly what I meant to say...!
Brilliant, Niamh, you are so multi-talented,
Now all you have to do is win a holiday in Paris.
Ahhahaha! That's awesome! Congrats on winning a copy of the book - I smiled when Scott sent me over your name because I recogised it! You should get a copy of the book in the post soon - I hope you like it! :)

Am so envious of your ability to write French, I can barely string a few words together, not to mind write in French. Well done!
Thanks Olive but I dont speak french either, I wrote a piece in english and just used the translator on the computer. Unfortunately it didn't translate my meaning very well !
oh! I love those weird translated twice things. Do 'Rubber Ducky' in Japanese and then back to English for a hilarious time! My step-dot and I can waste many hours doing that. YOU WON YOU WON - that is always a good thing.
OK - back to my to-do list. later, jan
Congratulations Niamh! Love the ole bit of French. You are so talented!!!
Thanks Brigid- i've the luxury parisian holiday part covered! I'm going to start doing the Lottery... (if only I'd thought of it years ago!)
Talli, I can't wait to read it, thanks so much.
Jan, You're right, its wonderful to win something & thanks for the tip! Will put translating rubber ducky on my to-do list!
Thanks Ann! yes, such a nice language! All I've left from school at this stage is "Allo, C'est Phillipe Ledoux? Oui, c'est moi..."
Sophisticated or wha?!
Haha, beautiful translation:)
But congrats on winning the book! How fun!
